Miss Russia 2009, Naglabasan ang mga Nude Photos sa Internet
Para ito sa mga mahihilig sa mga beauty pageants. Nakakalungkot naman ang nangyari sa bagong winner ng Miss Russia 2009 na siya sanang kakatawan sa pinakamalaking bansa sa mundo sa Misses Universe at World pageants kung hindi siya babawian ng korona. Biglang lumitaw sa internet ang kanyang mga nude photos pagkatapos niyang manalo. Malaki ang posibilidad na ma-dethrone siya dahil bawal sumali ang mga nag-pose ng nude sa kahit anong international beauty pageants maliban lamang kung ito ay isang nude pageant. LOL.Sophia Rudieva of St. Pettersburg is only 18 years old when she was crowned Miss Russia last month so that means her nude photos circulating in the net was taken while she was minor. It's too bad for a very young and promising lady like Sophia to be dragged into this controversy or scandal. This is definitely her prize for being famous now. There are no words yet from the officials of Miss Russia organization if they're going to let Sophia keep her title but she won't be accepted in Misses World or Universe in case the organizers still decide to send her despite all these.

On a related news, Rosarita Tawil of Lebanon faced the same scandal before she represented her country at the Miss World 2008 pageant in South Africa which was won by..guess who?..a Russian in the person of the blonde Ksenia Sukhinova. Rosarita will also represent her country in this year's Miss Universe in the Bahamas.
Rosarita, obviously, was able to retain her title but we can't say the same for Sophia. It's just that the case of this Lebanese beauty queen is quite different. She just had racy pictures in bikini and in one photo, she's topless with her arms around her boobies to cover them. It was a big issue in Lebanon because the country has a large Muslim population.
Well, if Sophia will not be dethroned then these two beauty queens are definitely lucky as compared to Sandra Inez Seifert of the Philippines who was disqualified at the Binibining Pilipinas 2009 for posing for FHM Philippines in her bikinis - the same outfit contestants wear in beauty pageants. That was indeed absurd!

But Sophia is not all alone guilty for posing nude and then became a beauty queen. In the past, we have Joyce Giraud of Puerto Rico in 1998, Helen Lindes of Spain in 2000, Evelina Papantoniuo of Greece in 2001 and Dayana Mendoza of Venezuela in 2008. These ladies had their share of controversies for taking off their clothes before the camera lenses but they were still all allowed to compete in Miss Universe. In fact, Giraud and Lindes were second runners up. Papantoniuo was first runner up and Mendoza went on to win the title.

Para pa rin sa mga international competitions, siguro ay aware naman kayo sa nangyayaring botohan para piliin ang New Seven Nature Wonders of the World. Alam din naman natin siguro na kasali ang Palawan Underground River sa mga pinagpipilian.
Kami dito sa Siete Contra Dos ay natatakot na baka hindi umabante sa nasabing search ang ating sariling tanawin dahil tinatalo na ito ng Amazon River sa group kung saan siya kasali.
Nagsimula ang botohan na may apat na pambato ng Pilipinas. Maliban sa Palawan o Puerto Princesa Underground River ay napasama rin ang Tubbataha Reef, Chocolate Hills at Mayon Volcano. Nalaglag sa unang elimination ang Tubbataha Reef, Chocolate Hills at Mayon Volcano dahil sa rule na isang nature wonder lang ang dapat meron sa isang bansa kaya naman ang nasabing ilog sa Palawan ang nakasali.
Kasalukuyan ngayong pinipili ang Top 77 mula sa 261 na nature wonders sa buong mundo at nahati sila sa pitong grupo. Nasa Group E o Forest, National Parks and Nature Reserves Group ang Puerto Princesa Underground River pero ito ay nasa pangalawang pwesto lamang. Magtatapos yata sa July 2009 ang second phase ng elimination at pagkatapos nito ay malalaman natin ang Top 77.
Ang Top 77 naman ngayon ay muling papasok sa third phase ng elimination at dito na pipiliin ang Top 7.
In fairness, parang botohan dito sa Goddess of Philippine TV ang concept ng search for the New 7 Nature Wonder of the World. Pero, promise, maniwala man kayo o hindi, hindi namin ginaya ang concept nila. Nagkataon lang na magkaparehas ang naisip namin.
Pero kung katulad niyo sana ang lahat ng mga Pinoy na masisipag bumoto, walang duda na pasok na tayo sa Top 7. Kaya hinihiling ko sa inyo mga kaibigan o mambabasa ng Siete Contra Dos na pakisuportahan na rin ang ating entry. One vote per one e-mail address sila. Kapag nakapasok ang entry natin sa Top 77 sa July 2009 pwede niyo uli gamitin yung e-mail address niyo kapag nagsimula na ang botohan para sa Top 7. Magsisimula din yata agad by that month.
Pero patuloy pa rin natin iboto at ikampanya ang ilog na ito para siguradong makapasok siya sa Top 77 sa July. Kumbisihin natin lahat ng mga kaibigan natin.
